RM of Ponass Lake’s story
The Rural Municipality of Ponass Lake No. 367 became an incorporated rural municipality on January 1, 1913. It lies in east-central Saskatchewan, and its office is in the town of Rose Valley.
Within its boundaries are the town of Rose Valley and the village of Fosston, along with the unincorporated localities of Cuvier, Nora and Scrip. Saskatchewan Highways 35, 49 and 756 and the Canadian Pacific Railway run through the municipality.
Visitors can learn about the area's past at the Rose Valley & District Heritage Museum, and the Ponass Lake Heritage Marsh is another of the RM's attractions.
